Sarah Kim, MD, PhD, receives the Resident Research Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology

We are thrilled to announce that Sarah Kim, MD, PhD, a PGY-2 otolaryngology resident and R25 research scholar at Duke University in Durham, NC, has been selected as a recipient of this year's Resident Research Awards from the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Foundation (AAO-HNSF). Her proposal, titled "Role for local immune signaling in modulating post-viral olfactory repair", was selected for funding by the Centralized Otolaryngology Research Effort (CORE) Study Section. Under the mentorship of Bradley Goldstein, MD, PhD, and Ashley Moseman, PhD, Sarah's research will focus on defining mechanisms driving repair following post-viral olfactory loss, particularly the involvement of local immune signaling. This award reflects the potential impact of Dr. Kim’s proposed research, her academic achievements, and the training environment. Congratulations to Sarah Kim, MD, PhD, on this well-deserved recognition!
