Communication Sciences

The audiologists and speech-language pathologists in the Division of Communication Sciences at Duke University are committed to helping people of all ages with hearing, balance, communication and swallowing disorders achieve their goals through our focus on the highest quality patient care, innovative research, and provision of training programs for audiologists and speech pathologists.

Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

The Duke Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery focuses on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck. Aesthetic surgery includes procedures such as facelift, brow lift, blepharoplasty, and rhinoplasty. Reconstructive surgery includes functional surgery for nasal obstruction, facial reanimation for facial paralysis, and restorative surgery for cancer defects and craniofacial trauma.

Laryngology

The Duke Division of Laryngology and Duke Voice Care Center bring together the outstanding expertise of highly trained physicians,  speech-language pathologists and clinical singing voice specialists to treat patients of all ages and with the full range of conditions affecting voice, breathing, and swallowing.  Our multidisciplinary team is committed to providing cutting edge treatment and advancing evidence-based care for our patients.

Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery

The Duke Division of Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery provides high-quality, multidisciplinary care for a wide range of ear, hearing, and balance conditions. Our otologists and neurotologists are highly specialized in the treatment of complex  disorders, including hearing loss, chronic ear infections, cholesteatomas, acoustic neuromas, Meniere’s disease, and other conditions of the ear and surrounding skull base.

Pediatric Otolaryngology

The Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology provides integrated care for children with ear, nose, and throat (ENT) disorders, ranging from common problems to severe issues. Our division serves as a high-volume referral center with internationally recognized specialists in airway disorders, sleep disorders, hearing loss, head and neck tumors, and voice care.
