Interested in all aspects of otolaryngology, especially facial trauma and reconstruction, and airway management

Strong research, exposure to all subspecialties of otolaryngology, tight-knit group of residents

What are the strengths of the Duke program?

Well rounded, lots of research opportunities, unique leadership course, upward growth and expansion, residents and faculty are like family

What advice do you have for incoming interns?

Give you best efforts. Know that you wont be perfect, but learn from feedback and ask questions. Learn from your co-residents. Always be willing to help in clinic, on consults, or the operating room, because you may be afforded the opportunity to perform a procedure or practice a skill you otherwise would not have had the chance to perform.
