Hua

Xiaoyang Hua, MD, MMed, PhD


Dr. Hua is a clinician-scientist who will partner with faculty members in Pathology and Pulmonary Medicine to understand immunologic signaling and other local mechanisms relevant to upper and lower airway disorders. He will practice as a comprehensive otolaryngologist with an emphasis in rhinology and otology. He will be joining us from the University of Iowa where he just completed his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. 

 

 

 

Janet Lee

Janet W Lee, MD


Dr. Lee will be joining our pediatric Otolaryngology team. She is an alumnus of the Duke School of Medicine, completed her residency in OHNS at the University of California, Davis, and comes to us after completing a Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at the University of Utah. 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Goldstein

Bradley J. Goldstein, MD, PhD

Dr. Goldstein is a rhinologist and clinician-scientist. As Vice-Chair of Research, he will play an active role in building translational research and research training programs in the department.  Particularly exciting is the opportunity for synergy between his research program in olfactory regenerative biology and other translational programs in sensory and cognitive neurobiology at Duke. Dr. Goldstein completed his residency and fellowship at Johns Hopkins and comes to us from the University of Miami after a stint in private practice in Maine.

Tammara L. Watts, MD, PhD

Dr. Watts is a head and neck cancer surgeon and clinician-scientist who studies the biology of the tumor microenvironment and its role in tumorigenesis. Her work in collaboration with other members of the Duke Cancer Institute and basic science community promises to advance our understanding of head and neck cancer biology and targets for new therapies. Dr. Watts completed her residency at the Medical College of Georgia, and her fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. She comes to us from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

 

walstrom

Audrey Walstrom, MA, DMA, CCC-SLP

Ms. Walstrom will join Duke Voice Care Center as Clinical Singing Voice Specialist in October. In addition to her clinical training and experience, Audrey has had an extensive career as a professional classical singer and singing teacher. She completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with a cognate field in vocal pedagogy and her MA in speech-language pathology at Miami University. She has been an adjunct instructor/lecturer in voice at a number of universities, and has been featured as leading mezzo-soprano in opera, concert and recital across the United States.
