Clinical and Research Interests
I am deciding which subspecialty I would like to pursue.
I am working on research on using computational fluid dynamics to evaluate intranasal airflow and drug delivery in patients with cleft lip and palate and after rhinoplasty. I also have an interest in pediatric hearing outcomes in children with CMV and cleft lip and palate.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
I was drawn to Duke by the culture of community and the teamwork I saw between the residents and faculty to work together to take care of patients and to train the residents.
What advice do you have for incoming interns?
Spend time with your patients, trust your team, and have fun!
What do you like best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I enjoy hiking on the local trails and exploring restaurants in the area.
What do you like to do outside of Duke?
I grew up around horses and still love to go ride. I play the violin. I enjoy spending time with my niece and nephew.
