Dr. Nicholas Mildenhall, Otolaryngology Resident, one of two residents from the Section of Surgical Disciplines, has been inducted into the Duke University School of Medicine chapter of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society.
Every year, the AOA elects a small number of students, residents, and fellows into the medical honor society. These individuals exemplify the qualities of scholarship, leadership, fairness, compassion, integrity, and service.
“Many valuable mentors of mine belong to the AOA Medical Honor Society and have demonstrated to me its core values through their integrity, service, and medical achievement,” says Dr. Mildenhall. “Being granted this honor of membership gives me renewed responsibility and commitment to live up to their examples as well as the high standards required of this society's members. I hope to exemplify these values as I strive to provide excellent medical care as a lifelong learner in the service of my patients.”
