Dr. Bradley Goldstein's Lab Co-Authored COVID-19 Research Paper

Dr. Bradley Goldstein's lab co-authored the research paper "Non-neural expression of SARS-CoV-2 entry genes in the olfactory system suggests mechanisms underlying COVID-19-associated anosmia," which has been published in the Science Advances journal.

Along with Dr. Goldstein, Dr. Ralph Abi Hachem and Dr. Hiroaki Matsunami, were part of an international research team led by Harvard Medical School's neuroscientists to conduct this study. Their research paper focused on how COVID-19 causes a temporary loss of smell. They identified that the olfactory cell types in the upper nasal cavity were the most vulnerable to infection caused by SARS-CoV-2.
