Dr. Minga, a dedicated researcher at the intersection of Neurology, Head and Neck Surgery, and Communication Sciences departments, focuses her work on understanding linguistic apragmatism, a communication impairment that impairs the ability to use contextually appropriate language after a right hemisphere stroke.
On Saturday, August 5th, our volunteers partnered with North Raleigh International Baptist Church (NRIBC) and Duke Raleigh Hospital to offer Head and Neck Cancer screenings.
Jamila Minga, Ph.D., CCC-SLP was awarded funding by Fund to Retain Clinical Scientists supported by American Heart Association (AHA) at Duke to support Dr. Minga’s work on language production after right hemisphere stroke: “Neuroanatomic correlates of language production after right hemisphere stroke – Supplement”.
