Clinical and Research Interests

I am primarily interested in craniomaxillofacial trauma, facial plastics, and head and neck oncology. That being said, I'm very excited to be further exposed to all that ENT has to offer and learn more about other subspecialties.

Research Interest

I am interested in finding ways to improve Native American Health as it pertains to our field, finding ways to increase Native American students' interest in healthcare fields, and improving medical student/resident education.

What were your main expectations for a residency program?

My expectations were to find a program that is well-represented in every specialty, has a fun and collegial culture, and is supportive of extra-clinical interests. I believe Duke meets and exceeds all these expectations!

What advice do you have for incoming interns?

Find balance by keeping up with things you enjoy doing and staying connected with those close to you. Also, treat every patient, patient family member, and employee with kindness and respect and it will take you far.

What do you like best about living in Durham and the Triangle?

Durham is a great sized city with many things to offer outdoors. It has amazing access to incredible disc golf courses, running trails, and great restaurants (3 of my favorite things).

What do you like to do outside of Duke?

I believe strongly in being well rounded and I have many hobbies including spending time with my family/friends and their dogs (Cookie, Chewy, Reggie, Jordy), gardening, disc golf, pickleball, rock climbing, weightlifting, running, swimming, triathlon, ping pong, spike ball, backpacking, reading, wood carving, pub trivia, cooking, beer brewing, and supporting the Chicago Bears and Wisconsin Badgers.
