The Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences department is excited to welcome Alexa Franco, MD, to the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery division led by Charles Woodard, MD.
Dr. Franco began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Duke University. She then earned her MD from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, training in cosmetic plastic surgery with prominent surgeons in Manhattan, and most recently, pursued a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Glasgold Group Plastic Surgery in Princeton, NJ.
Dr. Franco will provide services in a wide range of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with a focus on aesthetics, including facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty.
She will begin seeing patients at Duke Raleigh and the Duke Aesthetic Center until early next year, when she will be at Duke Green Level in Cary.
She recently joined her husband in North Carolina, where he works as an oculoplastic surgeon at Duke. Dr. Franco enjoys cooking, dancing, practicing pilates, and exploring new restaurants with her husband.
