Robbie Patterson receives UJMT Fogarty Global Health Fellowship 2023-2024 Training Award

PGY-3 Robbie (Rolvix) Patterson was awarded a position in the UJMT Fogarty Global Health Fellows program to support his upcoming research in South Africa.This program, administered by UNC School of Medicine, is part of the NIH Fogarty International Center's LAUNCH program designed to train leaders in global health research. The research includes work on developing and testing a new mobile-based hearing screening device called a tympanometer. This device will be used to detect childhood ear infections in rural and underserved settings so children can receive treatment to avoid preventable hearing loss.
