Before joining the Audiology Residency, she worked at a doggy daycare for 2 1/2 years while completing her graduate studies. She has a two-year-old French Bulldog named Frankie.
As a dedicated fan of Taylor Swift, Sam proudly identifies as a Swifty. This past April, she and her fiancé celebrated a memorable engagement at Duke Gardens while visiting the Durham area. Sam comes from a big, blended family with eight siblings, adding to her dynamic and spirited personality.
