As Vice Chair for Education for the Department of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences, Dr. Woodard he will oversee the Department’s educational mission—spanning undergraduate medical education (UME), graduate medical education (GME) including both residency and fellowship programs, continuing medical education (CME), and faculty development initiatives.
In this role, Dr. Woodard:
- Serves as the chief advocate for educational excellence within the department.
- Collaborates closely with the Chair, division chiefs, and institutional partners to enhance program quality, ensure regulatory compliance, and secure new educational investments.
- Fosters faculty engagement in teaching, mentorship, and scholarship.
- Represents the Department in institutional education-related forums and contributes to national conversations on best practices in medical education and interprofessional training.
