Clinical and Research Interests
I am interested in all aspects of otolaryngology and look forward to learning more throughout my residency!
Research Interests
My research interests include addressing health disparities patients face in accessing care, improving health literacy and identifying relationships that can lead to improvement of patient care.
What were your main expectations for a residency program? How does Duke meet those expectations?
I was looking for a residency program that would support my research interests while providing me with broad clinical experience from aspects of otolaryngology. Duke's program has all these elements in addition to supportive faculty who are excited to mentor and train the next generation of otolaryngologists.
What do you like best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
Coming from Miami, FL, I really enjoy that there are seasons in Durham! (and they aren't too extreme, perfect for a Floridian). I also like all the walkable trails and growth of the city.
What do you like to do outside of Duke?
I love catching shows at DPAC and try to drop in to local dance classes! I also enjoy walking around trails in Durham and exploring new restaurants.
