We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to the latest addition to our Department of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences – Dr. Noam Eliashiv Bartuv, MD. With his exceptional expertise and dedication, Dr. Bartuv is set to make a significant impact on patient care, research, and education within our community.

Dr. Noam Eliashiv Bartuv brings a wealth of experience in the field of Otolaryngology, specializing in Otology and Neurotology. His academic journey includes an MD from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, followed by a residency at Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot, Israel. Dr. Bartuv most recently completed his Otology and Neurotology fellowship here, at Duke University.

In his new role, Dr. Bartuv will provide comprehensive medical and surgical treatments for both children and adults with disorders of the ear, nose, and throat. His expertise lies in encompassing pathologies of the external, middle, and inner ear, as well as lateral skull base pathologies, hearing loss, and vestibular pathologies. He will actively participate in resident training, both in the clinic and the operating room, while also contributing to cutting-edge research in his specialized field.

Dr. Bartuv's passion for patient care, collaboration, and resident training shines through in his approach to his new position. He looks forward to making a positive impact on patients' lives, fostering teamwork, and sharing his knowledge with the next generation of medical professionals.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Bartuv is a family man with a supportive wife and three wonderful children. They fell in love with Durham when they relocated to North Carolina for his fellowship in 2021 through its warm community, natural beauty, and tranquility. When not in the clinic or the operating room, you might find him enjoying good food, staying active through workouts, indulging in carpentry projects, or relishing time spent with friends.

While Dr. Bartuv has fully embraced his new community, he confesses that his sports fan persona is still a work in progress.
