Dr. Liana Puscas, Associate Professor of Surgery, Division of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences, has been elected to the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) as a member representing the American Medical Association (AMA).
Founded in 1915, the NBME is an independent, not-for-profit organization that conducts assessments of healthcare professionals, including the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
“This honor recognizes Liana’s national stature as a medical educator,” says Dr. Howard Francis, Chief of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences. “It is good for the US public that the NBME has selected Liana to their team as her commitment and sound reasoning will shape physician assessment for some time to come.”
Congratulations to Dr. Puscas!
