Dr. Howard Francis, Chair of the Duke Department of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences, has been elected as a Director for the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS).
Directors are elected by the Board of Directors from a pool of current and former Senior Examiners. They are selected based on personal qualities, leadership potential, collegiality, specialty area, performance, location, and diversity. The board recognizes Dr. Francis’ significant contributions to ABOHNS over his career along with the requisite dedication and leadership abilities that will contribute to the mission of the ABOHNS for the next ten years.
